Political issues

During the last week ECRE has received considerable feedback from a wide range of interested parties, including government and EU officials, who have drawn attention to the fact that some of the allegations made, within the original report, were of a political nature. This, we are told, has diverted some attention and energy away from a focus on the main message of the report. This has resulted, we are told, in defensive postures and inordinate amounts of time discussing such issues.

Accordingly, we have removed, or modified, most of this content to the degree that it does not detract from our overall analysis which rejects the continued existance of Special schools.

Please note that this re-write is so comprehensive that there is not much point in producing a tabulation of previous text and replacement texts. We therefore advise all interested parties to download a new copy.
